Seduction

True evil is, above all things, seductive. When the Devil knocks at your door, he doesn’t have cloven hooves. He is beautiful, and offers you your heart’s desire in whispered airs. Like a siren, beckoning you to ruinous shore.

Relativity

Ready is relative… to the degree to which he makes my tummy turn with butterflies, to which his smile makes me smile, his laugh makes me laugh. To counting the hours, minutes, seconds till I see him again. To his organic ability to challenge me – emotionally & intellectually. To the way he commands my attention with undeniable certainty. To his lips meeting mine in gentle voracity. To his taste and everything that comes with it. To the quiver his touch sends down my honey pot. To the superabundance of hurt I know he’s capable of inflicting, and the fear that he may. And quite assuredly, to the sheer terror of losing him. And finally, to him being my every waking thought & my enduring promise before goodnight.

Ready isn’t a question of when, it’s a question of who.

Rose coloured glasses.

Everything about you screams NO but all I see is yes, all I hear is yes. Your touch, however innocent, feels like a yes. Your smell catapults me into a glorious high. When you play with your hair, you are doing it for me. When you look at me, I see the expanse of infinity so clearly. Blind, I am. Deaf, I am. Wrong, I am.

Ready

“When you’re ready… Truly ready. You know where to find me.”

“What is ready supposed to look like?”

“Ready is when you show up to my door not for a fishing expedition with excuses and empty apologies but knowing full well how I feel about you, accepting it & allowing me to love you, taking me in your arms to kiss me, permitting me to slap you across the face for being such an asshole, then letting me kiss you back because ultimately, I adore you. Ready is when WE aren’t a topic of discussion – an argument waiting to happen – but instead a simple silence, an unspoken truth, a matter of fact, an undisputable existence, an eternity of passion – no words, just you & me.”
